Child & Maternal Health Community Nurse | Remote Community

About the Role
This role offers a Child & Maternal Health Community Nurse the opportunity to provide essential health services in a remote community. You will take responsibility for maternal, child, and adult care, provide emergency support, and oversee service delivery. The position requires a nurse who can work independently at times while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver maternal, child, and adult health services including antenatal, postnatal, breastfeeding, immunisation, and wellbeing care
- Provide emergency clinical care as required
- Lead and coordinate health programs, including education and preventative care
- Oversee clinical reporting, care plans, and follow-ups, including liaising with visiting specialists
- Mentor and support other nursing staff and local health practitioners
- Ensure culturally appropriate care and a respectful, professional approach
- Participate in care planning, health checks, and chronic disease management
- Maintain accurate records and meet all reporting requirements

Requirements
- Registered Nurse or Midwife with unrestricted registration (NMBA/AHPRA)
- Advanced Life Support and Paediatric Life Support certificates
- Experience in maternal, child, and adult health care, including emergency response
- Strong cross-cultural communication and ability to work independently in a remote setting
- Experience coordinating care with visiting specialists
- Computer literacy and ability to maintain clinical and administrative records
Desirable
- Experience working in remote or Indigenous community health
- Experience delivering maternal and child health education programs
- Experience with pharmacotherapeutics and immunization
