Registered Nurse – Community Mental Health

About the role:

In this position, you will play a key role in supporting individuals on their recovery journey, working collaboratively to deliver person-centred, recovery-focused care. Your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting individuals and their families or support networks to access resources and develop personalised recovery goals and plans
• Applying evidence-based, recovery-oriented practices that promote self-management, independence, and individual strengths
• Encouraging social participation and advocating for individuals’ rights, inclusion, and freedom from discrimination
• Promoting positive risk-taking, personal responsibility, and empowering individuals to make informed choices about their care
• Developing, implementing, and regularly reviewing tailored recovery plans to meet psychological and social needs
• Working closely with the wider multidisciplinary team to ensure a consistent, recovery-focused approach across all interactions

Essential criteria:

• Full AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse in Australia
• Demonstrated experience within Community Mental Health services
• Strong understanding of recovery-oriented practice and frameworks
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proven ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
• Strong time management and organisational skills
• Ability to commit to full-time hours for a 3-month contract
• Available to start immediately or on short notice
