We are looking for exceptional primary health nurses to work correctional settings across the VIC – assisting in the clinic and work to deliver high-quality patient care to men in Victoria’s public prisons
Essential:
- Appropriate nursing qualifications and current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency.
- Minimum one years of post-registration clinical experience.
- Ability to work without direct, immediate supervision in performing the role.
- Ability to plan and coordinate patient care.
- Competence in clinical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work within multi-disciplinary team.
- Ability to contribute to the professional practice within the health facility.
- Competence in written and verbal communication skills. Basic level of computer literacy.
- Clinical experience in a primary health care is desirable.
Other Requirements of the role:
- Valid Australian driver’s licence.
- Ability to work within a prison setting, which will involve direct contact with people in prison associated with the delivery of healthcare.
- Satisfactory completion of a National Criminal History Check.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
- Working outside of ordinary business hours may be required.
- Hold an immunisation provider certificate or be willing to work towards obtaining certificatio
