About the Role
Limelight People are seeking an experienced and dedicated Registered Nurse to join a dynamic Intensive Care Unit (ICU) team within a well-established private acute hospital in Sydney.
In this role, you will provide advanced, high-quality care to critically ill patients requiring intensive monitoring and life support. You will work collaboratively with intensivists, critical care specialists, and a multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure safe, effective, and patient-centred outcomes. This position requires strong clinical judgement, resilience, and a commitment to excellence in critical care nursing.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-level nursing care to critically ill ICU patients
- Monitor and manage patients requiring mechanical ventilation and organ support
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and respond to clinical deterioration
- Administer and titrate critical care medications in line with protocols
- Collaborate with intensivists, doctors, and allied health professionals
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation and care planning
- Respond effectively to emergency and life-threatening situations
- Ensure adherence to infection control and ICU safety standards
- Support and mentor junior ICU staff and nursing students
- Participate in ongoing professional development and critical care education
- Contribute to quality improvement and patient safety initiatives

Requirements
- Registered Nurse with current AHPRA registration
- Experience in ICU, HDU, or critical care nursing
- Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills

- Competency in advanced monitoring and ICU equipment

- Experience with ventilated and haemodynamically unstable patients
- Experience in private hospital ICU settings
- Experience mentoring or preceptoring junior staff
- Participation in ICU education or quality improvement programs
