I am looking for a dedicated and experienced Team Leader to oversee mental health program in Darwin!
In this pivotal role, you’ll provide leadership, coordination, and oversight into a key component of the Children MH program. You’ll work closely with a multidisciplinary team to support the functional recovery goals of young people and their families.
Key responsibilities include:
Clinical:
- Supporting clinical care for young people and their families within the Early Psychosis service.
- Maintain a high standard of clinical practice through direct service delivery where appropriate, and provide clinical guidance and support to team members as needed.
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to culturally safe, evidence-based practices that enhance the social and emotional wellbeing of Aboriginal young people and their families across the Greater Darwin region.
- Place the functional recovery goals of young people at the heart of all support provided, ensuring their needs and aspirations guide service planning and delivery.
Leadership:
- Provide leadership, supervision, and day-to-day management to a multidisciplinary team within the Program—fostering a positive, youth-friendly, engaged, and collaborative team culture.
- Drive continuous improvement in the design and delivery of the Functional Recovery Program, ensuring alignment with evidence-based practices and recovery-oriented care.
- Oversee the effective use of resources, equipment, and team rostering to support service efficiency and responsiveness.
- Represent the service at community forums and inter-agency meetings, supporting service-level agreements and promoting early intervention and first-episode psychosis principle.
