This large organisation is a leading player in the industry, driving innovative solutions and delivering exceptional results for our clients in the insurance sector. With the Transformation program fully up and running there is a need to expand the core Architecture team with an excellent team player who can adapt and deliver.
The Role:
You will be responsible for the documentation and delivery of business change initiatives, including logical system design; identification of technology risks and implications; and analysis of skills required to deliver solutions. Includes communication, local governance and oversight of the delivery of solutions (Project focussed); alignment to the IT Strategy (CTO focused); and optimisation to drive profitability and create sustainable value for the business (Business focused).
Direction:
- Make key platform architecture decisions aligned to outcomes of the IT Strategy while ensuring platform autonomy and alignment for platform teams
- Adoption of agile architecture methodologies to support initiative delivery
Delivery:
- Documentation of technology solutions to business change initiatives, including options, scoping, costing and implications of those solutions aligned to the IT Strategy
- Translation of functional and non-functional requirements into technology solutions
- Support strategic programs of work through development of platform solutions
- Investigate and address design issues (performance etc.) for CTO owned applications
- Maintenance of baseline architecture for discrete platform domains
- Contribute to both the business and CTO with market insights, collaborative input and expertise that promotes value creation, innovation and improved performance
