Providing psychology services to patients over the age of 65, who are suffering from complex Mental Health issues.
Duties will include:
- Conduct individual and group therapy sessions for older adults with a variety of mental health conditions, including mood disorders, anxiety disorders, cognitive decline, and trauma-related issues.
- Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities tailored to the needs of the older adult population, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and geriatric-focused therapeutic interventions.
- Work with individuals and families to address issues related to aging, such as grief, loss, caregiving stress, retirement, social isolation, and navigating the healthcare system.
- Works as a member of a multi-disciplinary team, providing clinical psychology services as indicated to people suffering from mental Health.
- Provides clinical psychology assessment and psychometric assessment, including personality and intellectual ability tests, and formulates diagnoses and treatment plans to older adults.
Essential Criteria:
- Masters or Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology and eligibility for full registration and endorsement in Clinical Psychology with the Psychology Board of Australia.
- AHPRA Registration is essential
- Experience in assessment of complex presentations and providing evidence-based interventions for people with mental health or related disorders.
- Proficiency in psychometric assessment, including personality and intellectual ability tests, with children and adults.
- Driving Licence.
- National police check
