Role Purpose
The purpose of the role and your unique contribution is to manage SAP environments providing technical support and expertise to SAP Basis team and systems including establishing best practices and standards, prioritize daily Basis activities, compliance, and system requirements, evaluating and directing enhancements/projects, and implementing solutions for performance monitoring, and system configuration, designs, and implementation.
Purpose of the role
Lead and work as single point of contact for SAP BASIS/Security service/incident management stream and manage the incidents accordance with agreed applicable SLAs.
- Responsible to lead, manage, and execute SAP Cloud S4 HANA Migration/implementation Basis stream of work.
- Responsible for leading and executing current SAP ECC6.0 – SAP Basis and Security service operations and CICDs.
- Lead and manage administration, operational maintenance, and system governance of SAP systems including overall SAP dual landscape framework.
- Lead and participate in projects: SAP implementations, SAP upgrades, SAP system/landscape building activities and provide appropriate solutions to enable projects success.
- Lead design, implement, assure successful timely execution of SAP Data Volume management, SAP Security, Solution Manager, SAP license management, and System Performance Management best standard practices, processes, and tools across the SAP ECC and S4 HANA landscapes.
- Implement solution manager based tactical and strategic service improvements around existing Basis daily monitoring and alerting capabilities.
- Closely work platform management and architectural group to implement and onboard futuristic technologies.
- Lead, build, and execute periodic refresh/migration and/or upgrade of new/existing SAP systems and landscapes.
- Assist in identifying, managing, and remediating platform level risks around software currency risks, SAP security roles and authorization, Basis standard practices and procedures et. al.
