Brisbane is the key location for this role and a hybrid model is employed, with 3 days in the office.

In the role you will be;
- Working in an Agile team to gain a solid understanding of business requirements
- Leading a small Technical Team of Java Developers
- Designing, developing, testing and deploying software solutions to meet customer requirements
- Documenting and reviewing code for the team
- Ability to specialize in the proper function, performance and tuning of the Java-based applications.
- Work closely with Stakeholders across the business
- Hands-on Java/J2EE programming and diagnostic task
You will have the following experience:
- Java/ J2EE
- Open Source
- Web Services
- Exposure to GWT
- Financial Services
- Backend focused Engineer
- Software Development and Design
- Have worked with MQ Messaging and XML
- Excellent problem solving skills and analytical thinking
- Knowledge of SQL Server, Postgres, Oracle or other databases
- At least 5 years of total systems design, development, deployment, and support experience.
