Our client has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Network Engineer to join their high performing technology team responsible for the design, delivery, and ongoing support of enterprise grade networking environments across data centres, cloud, and corporate infrastructure.
This is a hands on Network engineering role suited to someone who thrives in complex environments, enjoys solving challenging networking problems, and wants to play a key role in shaping secure and scalable infrastructure strategies for an exciting customer base.
You’ll work across modern networking technologies including advanced routing and switching, SD-WAN, next-generation firewalls, cloud networking, wireless solutions, and emerging SASE architectures.
Key Skills & Experience:
- 5+ years’ experience in enterprise network engineering environments
- Strong hands-on expertise across routing and switching technologies
- Deep understanding of BGP, OSPF, VLANs, VPNs and Layer 3 networking
- Experience working with Cisco and Dell switching/routing platforms
- Strong experience with firewall technologies and secure networking principles
- Exposure to SD-WAN and SASE solutions
- Experience supporting high-availability enterprise or data centre environments
- Understanding of voice networking, QoS and WAN architectures
- Exposure to cloud networking within Azure and/or AWS
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical and documentation skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement capability
- A collaborative mindset with the ability to mentor and support developing engineers
- Proactively monitor network performance and availability, identifying opportunities for optimisation and improvement
- Develop and maintain network documentation, standards and diagrams
- Provide technical leadership, escalation support and mentoring to junior engineers
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, project teams and vendors to deliver infrastructure initiatives
