Our client are expanding their highly productive team with an Experienced / Senior Fullstack Java / Javascript Developer.
This is truly a rare opportunity to join a team that is working on a new state-of-the-art KYC platform, built from the ground up and still with a huge amount of runway, this opportunity will provide the successful candidate an opportunity to steer and own a number of key outcomes.
We are looking for a highly talented, motivated and experienced Full stack Java Developer to join a team of 10+. This role can be preformed 100% remotely, and the ideal candidate will be able to work effectively from a home office environment within Australia, or within a reasonable time zone. You will be responsible for contributing to greenfield implementations, expansion of their core product and the development of interactive user experiences for web applications. You will work closely with the CTO and the rest of the development team to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain microservices on AWS using Java to ensure the highest level of performance, scalability, and security.
- Familiarity with one or more existing microservice frameworks such as Spring Boot or Qarkus.
- Write high-quality, maintainable, and scalable code in Java.
- Have very strong front end development skills, centred around Javascript and its frameworks, such as React or Next.
- Collaborate with the cross-functional development team to drive projects to completion.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to the development of best practices and standards.
- Stay up-to-date with new technologies and techniques relevant to the back-end development.
- Have a key interest in AI and utilising it in your day to day to achieve engineering tasks.
- Provide input and suggestions for improving the development process.
- Familiarity with AWS technologies is required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Strong proficiency in Java and experience with microservice architecture.
- 2+ years of experience in Front-end Development.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work well in a remote team environment.
